Mazatlán, Sinaloa (Informative Reaction).- The mayor of Mazatlán, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, warned that if the police officer colluded in a robbery of a platform service car is not dismissed, he will fire the person in charge of the office of the Ministry of Public Security.

He said that in his administration there are no protections, that those times are over, nor are officials of any kind protected, “here whoever makes a mistake leaves,” he insisted.

Benítez Torres, ruled that if it is confirmed that the order that he issued was not followed, he will change secretary (of Public Security).

“(The person in charge) has already acted, he removed a grade, dismissed him and is waiting for the result of the investigation of the Internal Control Body,” he reiterated.

In the same sense, he ruled out and clarified the information that circulates in networks, where it is ensured that the commander related to the robbery had relocated him to the sector located in the Urías neighborhood.
