Tourist destinations in Mexico fight together against Covid-19 by replicating health protocols

As part of the strategy to promote the reopening of tourism, authorities of Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, reported that about a dozen municipalities joined the Tourist Route through Mexico, with a view to offering promotions and joint information between these tourist sites. break.

This initiative was initiated by beach destinations such as Acapulco, Guerrero; Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo; Mazatlán, Sinaloa and Manzanillo, Colima; besides Los Cabos. 

Through a statement, it was announced that the new municipalities are Cancun (Quintana Roo), Rosarito (Baja California) Puerto Vallarta (Jalisco), Coatzacoalcos (Veracruz), Matamoros (Tamaulipas), Navojoa (Sonora), Axapusco (State of Mexico ), as well as Durango and Zacatecas.

Armida Castro Guzmán, municipal president of Los Cabos, highlighted that with this initiative the exchange of experiences is also carried out to strengthen the protocols for the prevention of Covid-19.

Likewise, he pointed out that in coordination with the hotel, restaurant, and tourism service provider sectors, the destinations included in the Tourist Route through Mexico seek an approach with the Federal administration to agree on sanitary measures.

Similar actions have been made by ten states that make up the Federalist Alliance, but until today their various approaches to combat the pandemic and the health crisis have not been heard by the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
