Armed men kidnap a deputy inspector of the National Guard in Colima (VIDEO)

The man was deprived of his liberty on Saturday, October 10th, around 2:00 p.m. on the Colima-Manzanillo highway in the state of Colima.

A deputy inspector of the National Guard was “raised” while traveling on the Colima – Manzanillo highway near Tecomán, fortunately, he was later released in a community in the same city.

According to unofficial sources, the incident occurred at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday when the member of the Highway Security Battalion of the National Guard who was traveling aboard a patrol car, was intercepted by armed men who were traveling in four trucks, and they took him away by force.

Less than an hour later, the man was released by his kidnappers in the community of Madrid near a public school in Colima. 

According to a report, the officer was performing routine service and it was at that moment that he was approached by several people who were traveling in two Toyota Hilux trucks, a Volkswagen, and a Ram truck. These people “deprived him of his freedom.” 

According to some accounts, the member of the National Guard was not injured, although the reason for his temporary deprivation of liberty has not yet been publicly explained.

Since the event became known, several federal, state, and municipal corporations have carried out a security operation, in which ground forces and helicopters participated, after finding the person they began search efforts to try to arrest the suspects responsible, but so far no arrests have been carried out regarding this incident.
