Óscar “N”, pastor of the Christian Church, was arrested outside the temple located in the Nuevo Mirasierra neighborhood, in Saltillo, Coahuila, accused of having raped an 8-year-old boy 18 years ago, and he was transferred to the Social Reintegration Center pending the start of the hearings.
The Attorney General of the State of Coahuila issued the arrest warrant against the pastor for the crime of rape of the child when he was less than 10 years old.
At present, the victim is 28 years old and although at the time he did nothing about it, other than tell his parents, now he dared to report it because in 2019 he learned that a woman had looked for her parents to tell them that he had denounced Óscar “N” for sexual abuse two years ago without proceeding.
“When they explained to me, it made me remember the bad and it was a moment in which I said: ‘it’s true, he does it once and he will continue to do it.’ I spoke with the other girl, it was the same 9 years ago, she is now 19, but her case prescribes and that is why they approach me, “he told La Vanguardia.
The young man mentioned that he decided to accompany the other victim to seek justice against the pastor, running the risk that his case would come to light, since he has already rebuilt his life.
However, when they began to investigate if there were more victims, they realized that there were two others when he was already serving as a pastor. Only one filed a formal harassment complaint and it was accepted, he added.
“I made the complaint a year ago. In a year they have already changed the Public Ministry four times and the case was stalled”.
When he was almost ten years old, the victim told his parents that Óscar, who was the member of Iglesia Cristina, sexually abused him, but only removed him from the community.
As time passed, he realized that Oscar was still a member of the Church as the titular pastor of another temple.
“I did not speak again until I was 19 years old. I began to wonder if it was happening with someone else. Before that, I saw him in activities within the Church and he asked me for forgiveness. To move on, I decided to leave it behind, I had already spoiled my childhood and adolescence, “he said.
