Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The Mayor of Mazatlán, Luis Guillermo Benitez Torres, offered a meal to the participating chefs and special guests of the first virtual gastronomic festival “El Otro Sabor de Mazatlán” , which after three days of activities concluded this Saturday, September 26th.
Benitez Torres, gave awards to chefs Rosie O’Connor, Andrea Lizárraga, Héctor Peniche, Julián Portugal, Luis Osuna, Fernando Guajardo and Sergio Camacho for their valuable contribution to Mazatlan cuisine.
This gastronomic forum, organized by the State Government, Municipality, Canaco Servytur and Canirac, aims to turn local gastronomy into the engine of the Mazatlan and state economy, and a greater attraction of visitors to the port.

The menu that was served was:
- Cochito and shrimp ceviches
- Marlin pate and marlin pie
- Octopus with shrimp, shrimp mash
- Tuna fin
- Shrimp with coriander
- Shrimp tamales
- Chipotle marlin empanadas
- Rice with dried shrimp
- kekis with guava jam, apple, kalúa and coffee beans
