Mazatlán Port Authority closes navigation to small vessels

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The captaincy closes the port to maritime navigation to vessels under 500 UAB, such as fishing boats, tugboats and nautical tourism services.

Also recreation, sport fishing and parachute flights, banana towing, jet skis and kayaks.

The closure took place at 11:05 am on Sunday, September 6th, due to unfavorable weather conditions for navigation. If the intensity of the strong winds and waves is lowered, it will be possible to open again.

Authorities recommend bathers not to go into the sea. The rains persist in the city and the surroundings. Precipitation will continue intermittently throughout the day.

Even with the rain, dozens of people remained for xeveral hours on the beach on Sunday.
