Health protocols are still not respected in Mazatlan’s beach areas

Mazatlán, Sinaloa. – This Saturday, September 5th, six of the 30 beaches in the port reached the color yellow and two the color orange at the beach traffic light, the rest remained in green.

Among the beaches that reached 50% of their recommended capacity, that is, in yellow, are Playa el Sábalo section 1 and Playa el Sábalo section 2, Playa Camarón, Playa Norte section 6, and Playa Pinitos.

With a 65% capacity level, orange, were Playa Gaviotas section 2 and Playa Norte section 7.

In a tour of the coastal area, it was observed that despite the protocols established for the use and enjoyment of beaches, tourists still do not comply with preventive measures; the healthy distance does not exist and the use of mouth covers is not being carried out by most people.

Regarding this, the municipal president of Mazatlán, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, has declared on several occasions that nothing will be done by force nor will anyone be forced to comply with preventive measures.
