The City Council has the average level of contagions of 10 days, which when reaching 22 cases will call the owners of party halls to agree on a possible opening date.

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- “Until the pandemic drops to 22 degrees Covid-19 is how the opening of party halls will be allowed, which for almost 6 months have not operated due to the health contingency,” assured the Municipal President, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres.

He said, a day before, he held a meeting with the Secretary of State for the Economy, Javier Lizárraga Mercado, to discuss the problem and the possibility of an early opening of the sector, but until today, there is no specific date.

He assured that, due to the current situation of the contingency, the establishments for parties will have to wait for the rate of coronavirus infections in the port to decrease, because only then will such properties be able to reopen their doors.

“In order for establishments to operate, it is not only enough to lower the number of infections, as they must comply with the corresponding protocols, and if they don’t, they will be sanctioned.

Benítez Torres concluded that it is difficult to know the opening date of party halls in Mazatlan because the number of cases of contagion fell to 26 after being 3 consecutive days in 30 and now the figure is in 28.
