Great virtual celebration during the Senior Citizens’ National Day in Mazatlán

The Mazatlán DIF System and the Mazatlán Municipal Institute of Culture, Tourism, and Art will hold a great celebration next Friday, August 28, on the Senior Citizens’ National Day.

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- With raffles, prizes and an exclusive artistic cast for the occasion, the Mazatlán City Council in coordination with the Municipal DIF System and the Municipal Institute of Culture, Tourism and Art of Mazatlán, will hold a great celebration next Friday, August 28 during the Senior Citizens’ National Day.

The event will be broadcast online from the majestic Angela Peralta Theater where the virtual celebrations for the grandmothers and grandfathers begin at 6:00 p.m. Obviously, the event in online due to the sanitary measures implemented by Covid 19 pandemic.

Those who wish to participate in the prize raffle that will be held live through the Cultura TV fan page on Facebook must comply with the requirements and register at https://tics.mazatlan.gob.mx/diadelabuelo/registro from 09:00 a.m. on Monday, August 24 until Wednesday 26 at noon.

In the artistic part, Mr. Víctor Salaiza will be performing, and then there will be an exhibition of the Danzón y Canto group, as well as a number starring Maestra Ercilia and Professor Manuel Trejo, in addition, the singer Mario Canela accompanied by the pianist Juan Pablo García will interpret the melody “My old man and I”, while violinist Fernando Montes de Oca will give us a bolero.

Different surprises are expected throughout the program, authorities such as the Mayor of Mazatlan, “Chemist” Químico Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, Mrs. Gabriela Peña Chico, and José Ángel Tostado Quevedo, General Director of the Institute of Culture.
