Whoever does not use it will only be reprimanded and invited to put it on, but will not be financially sanctioned: Benítez Torres
Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- As of this Friday, the use of a mask will be mandatory in Mazatlan, announced the municipal Mayor, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres.
“Yesterday (in the Cabildo session), the use of face masks in Mazatlan was added to the Police and Good Government Side, which makes it an obligation,” he said.
The first mayor made it clear that those who do not use it will not be financially penalized, they will only be reprimanded and their attention will be called because that is where the competence of the municipality as an authority reaches.
“To reprimand him is to call their attention, to make them aware that they breaking a provision of the police and (they will be invited) to do wear one for themselves and for everyone,” he emphasized.
Benítez Torres insisted that this new provision will be announced publicly and immediately.
