There are 163 businesses of this type, bars, and night clubs, which will be reopening little by little as long as they comply with the health protocols.

Mazatlán, Sinaloa (July 27, 2020) .- Despite the fact that Sinaloa is at an orange light, the municipal authorities have already given permission for nightclubs to reopen to the public this weekend.

According to the Federal Health Secretariat, these types of businesses could not operate until the green light is decreed, but in the case of Mazatlán, the situation is different.

The coordinator of Municipal Civil Protection, Eloy Ruiz Gastélum, confirmed the reopening of nightclubs and bars in Mazatlan since Saturday, July, 23rd.

Since last Friday, the nightclubs announced they were reopening through social networks, and on Saturday they started operating again.

According to the statistics of the municipal Ministry of Economic Development, Tourism and Fisheries, within the 23,600 economic units that exist in Mazatlán, 163 are nightclubs, bars and the like.

Last week, the Oficialía Mayor commented that they have several requests for reopening from gyms, party halls, bars, and nightclubs, but that they will be gradually reopening, once they comply and are authorized, with the sanitary protocols for the operation in the “new normal”.
