Since July 23, the comet can be seen from Earth.

Comet Neowise is very close to Earth and a few days ago was captured in a photograph her in Mazatlan, by René Saade, who shared the image on his Facebook page Astrophotography of René.

The image shows the comet next to the moon and the Big Dipper, off the coast of Mazatlán.

Comet NEOWISE is a long period comet with a near-parabolic orbit discovered on March 27, 2020, by astronomers during the NEOWISE mission of the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer space telescope.

Comet NEOWISE was nicknamed by NEOWISE, the asteroid-hunting afterlife of the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) mission.

Comets, often nicknamed “cosmic snowballs,” are icy, rocky objects made up of ice, rock, and dust.
