Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- The leader of the pulmonia drivers, Luis Mariano Ortega Vizcarra, acknowledged that the gradual arrival of tourism in this port has generated a slight upturn in the transport service that is minimal, although it is a small respite.

“The whole week was very low and on Friday there was a slight rebound and I think it will go down today with the return of the people and we are going to wait this second half of July to see how we are doing,” he said.

The pulmonia leader recognized that they are handling very low numbers and that they will be 35 percent more or less in demand for the service.

He acknowledged that neither before nor today have they had any problems regarding the price of the fees and there are usually no complaints regarding the charges.

“Usually we do not have any complaints there, Mazatlan is a port as it is said to be cheap, economic and the people who know and most of the tourism that we have, is regional tourism and they are used to asking for a better price,” he explained.

Ortega Vizcarra announced that the rates range between 30 and up to 100 pesos when they are left long, making it clear that the service is provided throughout the year to the entire city and not just to a sector as has been speculated.
