Medical Services will be open for the entire population.

Municipal Medical Services prepares a physical area at the Margarita Maza de Juárez Municipal Hospital to carry out Covid-19 diagnostic tests on the general population.

Alfonso Sandoval Sánchez, director of Municipal Medical Services, indicated that the idea is to bring care to the vulnerable population, who do not have the resources to pay for the diagnosis.

“An exam in a private individual costs you up to $3,550 pesos, the City Council is not going to charge a single peso, people only have to pay what the State Laboratory charges for the reagents,” Sandoval Sánchez said.

“And most important of all, is that the result will be ready in 24 hours”, he continued.

Sandoval commented that the agreement with the Ministry of Health is being negotiated to determine the fee to pay for the test.

He said that before the diagnostic test, those who request it must go to the medical examination, since it can be a simple case of the flu or influenza.

But if they present symptoms such as chest pain, muscle aches, cannot breathe, cough, fever, do not perceive tastes or smells, the diagnostic test is done immediately.

The official indicated that the beneficiaries will be attended right there and a scheme is being sought to attend to the non-beneficiaries, since the treatment is not so expensive if it is detected in time.
