Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Starting Tuesday, June 16, at 8:00 in the morning, the temporary employment program will begin in the southern state of Sinaloa. Fisheries Secretary Sergio Torres will be in charge of the opening event.
The administrator of the Bonfil Park, Francisco Castillo López reported that 752 fishermen will benefit from the aforementioned program.
He hopes that after the first week of cleaning the estuaries, more workers can enter the program.
The start of work will be in the Infiernillo estuary, he estimated that only about 60 fishermen will be laboring there, to avoid crowds.
Castillo López stressed that the support of the state government is an encouragement to the men of the sea and women of the maquiladoras.
“The salary will be worth 123 pesos a day, which will come to benefit families in the fishing sector who are without an income right now”, said the administrator.
Since December 2019, fishermen have been in uncertainty due to the health contingency, they have not been able to immerse themselves in other labor areas to mitigate the crisis they are facing for stopping catching.
