Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The Sinaloa Ministry of Health announced that Mazatlán had an increase of 30 new cases of COVID-19, one of the highest since the health contingency began, just after 14 days when society broke the quarantine to buy cakes and pizzas on the occasion of Children’s Day.

Dr. Efren Encinas Torres Secretary of Health in Sinaloa reported that 96 new cases were added today in the state, distributed as follows: 46 in Culiacan; 30 in Mazatlán; 8 in Guasave, 5 in Navolato; 3 in Rosario; 2 in Ahome, 1 in Sinaloa and 1 in Escuinapa.

“Today we are still seeing the impact, for example, of Children’s Day, April 30, taking into account the incubation period of the disease, which can also be from 2 to 7 days and I point this out because today 96 new cases are integrated, “said the state official.

It should be mentioned that as a result of social disobedience to break the quarantine on April 30, the measures implemented on May 10 were more rigorous and tomorrow for the celebration of Teacher’s Day it will be carried out in the same way in order to avoid massive contagions.
