Mazatlán registers 6 new cases in one day

The Sinaloa State Health Secretariat reports that of the total registered cases, 28 people have fully recovered, and five have passed away.

On Tuesday, May 5th, Mazatlán registered six new cases of Covid-19, accumulating 109 cases in total, since the first one was registered in the municipality, at the end of March.

Of this total, 76 cases continue to be active, according to the information updated by the State Secretariat of Health.

Of the five patients who lost their lives, all suffered from a chronic degenerative disease, such as diabetes, hypertension, or cancer.

Given this panorama and prior to the celebrations of Mother’s Day on May 10th, the state authorities reinforced sanitary measures to avoid crowds in pantheons, patisseries, and food establishments.
