Flocks of seagulls and pelicans can be seen perching on the wide deserted beaches of the port of Mazatlán.
Mazatlán, Sinaloa (April 27, 2020).- As if it were a long ceded territory, the birds have begun to regain their spaces in the face of the human absence that the preventive quarantine imposed by Covid-19 in Mazatlán has imposed.
The flocks of seagulls perch on the wide deserted beaches of the port; pelicans walk in the middle of the avenue and birds that were rarely seen in the vicinity of the city, can now be observed on beaches and tourist areas in search of food.
On the coastal promenade you can again hear the trill of the birds in flight, while herons, pelicans, and ducks once again populate lagoons damaged by urban growth.
It is a natural spectacle that the coronavirus pandemic has brought to Mazatlán and these birds make us reflect that beyond the tests that nature imposes on man, life goes on.
