Eloy Ruiz Gastélum called on citizens to avoid crowds of people to prevent COVID-19
MAZATLAN SINALOA._ During the Saturday of Holy Week, the municipal coordination of Civil Protection detected more than 10 private parties that were organized in neighborhoods of Mazatlan, despite the call not to do so at the risk of contagion of coronavirus.
Eloy Ruiz Gastélum, the coordinator of the municipal agency, explained that these celebrations were detected through citizen complaints about crowding.
“We ask that social events be avoided so that infections are not increased, we want the collaboration of all citizens, we cannot know if one of the attendees is infected and that is why we must avoid it,” he said.
“It was learned of more than 10 parties that were in neighborhoods and subdivisions, even in private reserves of different parts of Mazatlan, here I would like to take advantage of asking people to avoid these meetings.”
Likewise, Ruiz Gastélum called for you to continue to denounce meetings in order to invite people to suspend them.
For complaints or accusations, you can call 9-1-1, through the Mazatlán APP or on the phone 6699-86-81-26 of the Ministry of Public Security.
