Catamaran ‘moored’ due to low tourist activity

The manager of a tour company points out that the different companies should work with each other, so that they do not stop receiving income.

Mazatlán, Sinaloa .- Catamaran trips is another activity that has been affected by the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.

Filimón Valdez, manager of Yates El Costeño, explained that the activity has fallen by up to 80 percent. They use to receive up to 50 people per day, but in the last week, there have been days in which they have only had four clients. However, Filimón points out that it is not profitable for catamarans to make trips with less than 15 people.

As part of the alternatives, the workers of different companies dedicated to recreational sailing, have come together and agree that on certain days it will be a single boat that sets sail, taking customers from all the different companies.

They used to have up to two departures in one day … on a good day, but not anymore, now, days pass and not one single customer shows up.
