Fines continue in the streets of Mazatlan’s Historic Center

On Wednesday the Transit elements were dispatched with and placed tickets as if they were giving candy in areas and streets as in the Plazuela de Los Leones. Yesterday they were more moderate and only “working” on Belisario Domínguez street and the adjacent ones, but still put many tickets with fines for “bad parking.”

Since the end of last week, some dependency of the municipality painted many sidewalks in the streets of the Historic Center of Mazatlan with the yellow color, characteristic of “prohibited zone” to park. Those streets had never been painted before and the motorists of many years already knew that this was a place to leave their vehicles, but this was has ended by “orders of Mayor Benítez Torres” said a transit.

Yesterday, the director of Transit, Commander Francisco Guerra, acknowledged that these painted areas were due to the fact that they are within the new Regulation and Sustainable Mobility that empowers the “authority” to paint or save the spaces so that there is more road flow, especially large units such as urban buses or work carts with commercial products.
