Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- The Civil Protection coordinator in southern Sinaloa, Oscar Roberto Osuna Tirado, announced that work is already being done on the Easter Week operation, which consists of training lifeguard elements and reviewing the lodging centers that have a beach front and swimming pools.
In this regard, the state official stressed that it will be essential that all hotels with these characteristics have a lifeguard element, or else actions could be taken, such as suspending the spa for breaching the Civil Protection Regulation.
“If we find a beachfront hotel that does not have lifeguards, it may be possible to place a red flag for not having the security measure. In the same way with pools that do not have lifeguards, they can be closed.”
“Those hotels that arrive and do not have lifeguards will not be sanctioned economically, they will close what is the pool area until they comply,” he said.
Also, Osuna Tirado called the family passes to be responsible and to be aware of minors entering these areas.
“Clarify that the pools are not nurseries or lifeguards are babysitters. We must also have participating parents, be responsible when we go to a pool, be aware of children,” said the Civil Protection coordinator in the south of the State .
