The minimum rate update will be 84 pesos once it is published in the Official Gazette of the State of Sinaloa
Mazatlan, Sinaloa .- The Municipal Board of Drinking Water and Sewerage of Mazatlan has already decided to update the minimum charge for the service fee, increasing two pesos to the 82 already established, said general manager, Ismael Tiznado Ontiveros.
“There was an update that Jumapam is entitled, because it is inflation translated into the national price index, and the rate increased as in 1.90 and so many, almost two pesos, and will rise 84,” he said.
Tiznado Ontiveros said that this increase does not hit the citizen’s wallet since he said that the minimum charge is for maintenance of the service and the human capital that the paramunicipal has, whether or not you consume water.
“It has to be published in the Official Gazette of the State to authorize, so a payment of 80 is already applied is an imperceptible payment; there is a minimum that is charged to consume or not consume water that is 82 pesos, and that is the maintenance that We charge for the staff and machinery, the equipment costs us but the water is there, “he explained.
PAST DUE PORTFOLIO
In addition to the rate update, Tiznado Ontiveros reported that progress is already being made with the payment of defaulters, as he said that 2019 had a significant recovery for the paramunicipal, since the last data recorded, there were more than 150 million in past-due bills.
“In 2018 there was no recovery, zero recoveries of past-due bills, and in the past year they were about 14 million recovered,” he said.
