The authorities of Baja California confirmed the cancellation of the arrival of a cruise ship, where a possible case of coronavirus was detected, so they decided to sanitize it for 14 days in order to guarantee the safety of the next trips.
The cancellation affected three Pacific ports, Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas, and Mazatlan, which had scheduled their arrival on 8 occasions, so after that cancelation there will be an economic loss in the destinations.
“Mazatlan denied the arrival, by denying a port, the route cannot be specified, so the ship has to go to another destination. It is the part of psychosis and hysteria over coronavirus we missed an opportunity to have a ship that was not a risk, ”said José Arturo Mussi, president of the Mexican Association of Tourist Cruises.
It is worth mentioning that the State Health Council will be in charge of making known the actions that so far are presented in the state.
