New Mazatlan Olympic Swiming pool is almost ready

“The installation of a new section at the Olympic swimming pool of Mazatlan has an advance of 70 percent,” reports the Ministry of Public Works of the Government of the State of Sinaloa.

With this infrastructure, swimmers will be sheltered from the direct sun rays.

Months ago, Governor Quirino Ordaz Coppel inaugurated the construction works, and announced that an investment of 28 million pesos was made for this project.

The structural design of the “Velaria” has an advance of 70 percent, which consists of a construction and assembly of five of the seven steel arches and then place the membrane that will cover a surface of 5,600 square meters.

The work is expected to be completed on April 30th, Mexico’s Children’s Day.
