Mazatlan Sinaloa.- In the security operation that will be deployed on the occasion of the Mazatlan Carnival 2020, from February 20 to 25, more than a thousand elements of the different police corporations will participate.
This was highlighted by the Mazatlan Fire Commander, Edgar Enrique Peinado Beltrán, in the framework of the Carnival Security Council meeting, headed by the head of the Institute of Culture, José Ángel Tostado Quevedo.
He commented that with the participation of the National Guard, the Navy and rescue and relief corporations, there will be a sufficient number of elements to guarantee the safety of those attending the 2020 Carnival parties “We are America”, without neglecting the rest from the city where special measures will also be implemented.
“This meeting saw the state of strength of each of the institutions of both federal, state and municipal, we will be collaborating to make within the strategic plan with whom we will have, and thus be able to guarantee security. The entire state force of the Municipal Police will participate, the National Guard with 100 elements, the Navy with 70 elements, Firefighters will be contributing 30 elements, and Civil Protection. I think more than a thousand elements working for the safety of people. A safe Carnival is expected and we all return home calmly, ”he said.
During the work meeting, a review was made of the preparations regarding the surveillance in Olas Altas, route of the parades of floats, coronation events, and Machado square.
“We are making a great effort to ensure your safety, we look forward to your cooperation in following the instructions of the staff that will be at the entrances to give clear and precise indications of how to stay safe. Together we can collaborate to make this party a success, ”said the Fire Commander.
In the session, José Ángel Tostado stressed the indication of the Municipal President, QFB Luis Guillermo Benitez Torres, to make Carnival a party for the whole town and that it is safe, so that precise determinations are taken to guarantee this.
