Although the Caribbean Series 2020 in Puerto Rico has not yet concluded, the tournament’s organizing committee announced that the 2021 edition will be held in Mazatlan, Sinaloa.
“Everything is ready in Mazatlan to live a great experience. We could even set up the Caribbean Series for next week if necessary,” said Omar Canizales, president of the Mexican Pacific League (LMP).
Since Mexico joined the Caribbean Professional Baseball Confederation (CBPC), it has hosted the event on 15 occasions, of which Mazatlan hosted 1978, 1985, 1989, 1993 and 2005; however, this city was relegated until the Teodoro Mariscal stadium was finished.
“We are already working to make the next Mazatlan 2021 Caribbean Series a successful event, as they always have been every time Mexico is the host,” concluded the executive president of Venados, Ismael Barros.
