Sinaloa .- Despite the international alert of the Coronavirus outbreak, which originated in China, international cruises bound for the port of Mazatlan have not been canceled, said the secretary of Tourism in Sinaloa, Óscar Pérez Barros.
However, the state official acknowledged that the recommendations issued by the Federal Ministry of Health are being followed to the letter.
“Nothing has been canceled, quite the opposite, Disney has just confirmed that in terms of safety and health is very strict and confirmed for 2021 a cruise to the Pacific,” he added.
“We will comply with everything the Federal Ministry of Health tells us, we are in communication to have the necessary hygiene for it,” he said.
Pérez Barros recalled that in 2019, about 136 international cruises arrived in Mazatlan, which is expected to increase by 30 percent by 2020.
