No cases of Influenza have been registered in Mazatlan

The cool weather that currently prevails in the port is the main cause of diseases treated through the municipal medical services of Mazatlan’s “Margarita Maza de Juárez” hospital.

The director of the hospital, Alfonso Sandoval Sánchez, acknowledged that 80% of the care provided in the consultation area is due to respiratory problems.

Fortunately, no cases of influenza whatsoever have been registered in this medical facility, as it has happened in other parts of the state.

“Thank God, Mazatlan has been practically free of this problem, although it is true there were some outbreaks in other parts of Sinaloa” said Alfonso Sandoval Sánchez.

He said that most of all these cases treated at the Margarita Maza de Juárez” hospital, are due to allergic, viral or bacterial conditions, which regularly occur in this time of year.

Alfonso Sandoval Sánchez stated that an average of 25 patients, are tretaed daily, at each of the 13 offices in the Hospitalito.

80% of the care provided in the consultation area are currently to patients with respiratory problems.
