Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- Given the problem of garbage collection and lack of awareness of some citizens, it is planned to create an application for next year that will warn the exact time of arrival of waste collectors , informed the director of Public Services, Luis Antonio González Olague.
He said that he is working with the computer staff of the City of Mazatlan to install GPS to the collection trucks and subsequently the creation of a free mobile application, so that it will let them know the precise moment in which they should take out their bags trash with its waste, with it problems that are currently present in the colonies, he said.
“The one that has it installed on your cell phone will be like an email when the truck starts its collection route, people will be notified how many minutes it arrives.”
The official said that this platform would also notify users of the absences of the collectors, and thus citizens would have no reason to take out their garbage and expose it to the animals to take it out of the bags.
