Mazatlan.- On the occasion of the show of pyrotechnic games that takes place within the framework of the Mazatlan Pacific Grand Marathon 2019, the Olas Altas area will be closed to road traffic this Saturday afternoon, said the Municipal Transit Commander, Francisco Guerra González .
He explained that from two in the afternoon the parking of vehicles will be restricted, but that the passage of the units will close around six in the afternoon.
“The festival of light will be on Paseo Olas Altas, from Ángel Flores to Rigoberto Lewis or the shield. There the road will be cleared from two in the afternoon to avoid parking the vehicles and the total closure would be an hour and a half before the event starts. Probably at six we will close it depending on the influx of people who come. It will open after the event, ”he said.
For the people who live in that part of the city, the Municipal Transit commander asked for their understanding and support, since it is an event that takes place every year, and for the first time in Olas Altas.
“We ask you to take alternate routes such as Venus Street, Children Heroes, Constitution, and try to take those routes to get to your home or workplace,” he said.
Regarding the number of elements that will be participating and supporting the realization of the event, he added that, with Tourist Transit police, there will be around 125 elements that will be in the area, supporting drivers who approach the place.
