Baja California, Mexico — In a joint operation carried out in the state of Baja California, elements of the Federal Police and the Mexican Army arrested the driver of a truck that was found transporting approximately 780 kilos of drugs.
The discovery of the unit and drugs took place along the Lázaro Cárdenas-Punta Prieta highway when the tractor-trailer unit was stopped for violating the Federal Highway and Highway Traffic Regulations.
When carrying out an inspection in the cargo area, and with the support of a canine binomial, 4,800 cans of juice and 57 hollow tetra pack boxes were located inside the unit. Inside those authorities found a variety of narcotics including crystal, heroin, cocaine, opium, and fentanyl.
The truck driver and the cargo were seized and made available to the Federal Public Ministry Agent.
