With the proposal to form an inter-municipal agency between the municipalities of Chapala, Jocotepec, Tuxcueca and Tizapán el Alto, the Chapala council approved last August 29 by majority the incorporation of this municipality into the initiative.

Mosiés Alejandro Anaya, municipal president of Chapala, said that this initiative seeks to coordinate efforts between the four riverside municipalities in terms of Urban Development, Mobility, Security, and Tourism.

He said that it is necessary from a regional approach to unify criteria and solutions to have sustainable development. This figure also aims to access security resources by exceeding with this model the more than one hundred thousand people.

“It is an inter-municipality in order that we as the 4 municipalities of the riverbank can manage resources in the field of security and unify criteria in partial plans, ” he said.

The municipal commented that the first step is for the four councils to approve the agreement, then it can be scheduled at the State Congress to mark the route of creation of the inter-municipality.

Anaya Aguilar proposed to resume the block projects to strengthen coordination on agendas such as security, mobility, civil protection, in urban matters, among others.
