Mazatlan, Sin.- The influx of visitors to the Mazatlan Aquarium decreased as of this week, since in the summer holiday period in what was the month of July and August the site received more than 200 thousand visitors; However, the activity continues, because this week it is estimated to receive at least one thousand visitors, said Pablo Rojas Zepeda, director of Mazatlan Aquarium.      

“This week already suffered a decline in the influx of visitors, we have a regular influx can be said, which is approximately between 900 and a thousand people we expect in this week, and right now we will close the month with about 205 thousand visitors”.

Rojas Zepeda said that the decrease in the flow of visitors is normal since by the return to school most of the tourists return to their destination to continue with their activities, but in the next two months, they estimate to receive at least 35 thousand people in the place. 

“In the month of September accepting the days of bridge we hope to have greater influx, we expect to close the month of September and October with an average of 30 to 35 thousand visitors per month.”  

The official added that it was a good season, especially because vacationers enjoyed the attractions and the different activities offered by Aquarium, since the comments from the people were positive, so they promised to return to the place at the first opportunity.   

Aquarium had good demand and influx of tourists in summer

In order to establish the transparency and the state that it keeps in its financial situation, in addition to the operation of the Mazatlan Aquarium, this Wednesday the council met, where they addressed the results obtained in the recent summer holiday period and also see In the future, José de Jesús Flores Segura reported.

The secretary of the City Council presided over the meeting, which was held in the aquarium of the recreational grounds, along with the counselors, where they applauded the numbers and records obtained during this summer.

“The last meeting out there are the numbers in favor, there has been a good entry for others, in this summer vacation, I think it has been one of the best, it has been reflected in the economic benefit in the port, in the hotels, in the restaurants”.

Flores Segura said that in the end, the council meets at least once a month, where the financial statements are analyzed, and that the aquarium had one of the best seasons.
