The Secretary of Tourism said there are more attractions at the door for the entire state, but they need to be regulated and operate in accordance with the law

Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- The State Tourism Secretary, Óscar Pérez Barros, declared that the ‘Awax’ floating water park project is not the only one that Semarnat has approved for Mazatlan.

The floating water park has generated controversy, but it is not the only one that is planned to be installed and should be regulated, Pérez Barros said.

“The moment we took a dive in Semarnat, what happened? Three authorized water parks for Mazatlan! And so I say, after a while what will they put me on, a floating hotel or what? … We can not allow (if), if we open the key they will fill us with inflatables throughout the beach, we must do things as they are and we have to regulate, ”he said.

The state official recalled the conflict with those responsible for the ‘Awax’ project and emphasized that investors were advised not to operate until they had permits, but they ignored it.

However, he said he has a list of attractions that want to settle in Sinaloa.

“There are other attractions, it is not the only thing we can do and more will come,” he said.

Reaction Informative has the documents of the permits issued by Semarnat, where in addition to authorizing the water park for the Playa Norte area, it was also authorized in Isla Venados and Isla de Chivos.
