The Secretary of Tourism in the state, Pérezscar Pérez Barros, explained that the season from June 24 to August 25 was successful and historic, since there was an average occupancy of 86% weekly with peaks on weekends of 95 % and an economic benefit of 4 thousand 593 million pesos representing 10% more than 2018 where 4,188 million pesos were reported.
He stressed that preliminary reports at the state level point out that, the most visited destination was Mazatlan, with average occupations of 85% on weekdays and 96% on weekends; the estimated tourist arrival was 743,469, 8.3% more than the 2018 holiday period, where 686,013 tourists were registered; The estimated economic spill in the port is 3 million 575 thousand pesos, 8.6% more than in 2018, where 3,293 million pesos were reported
Likewise, he informed that for the Magical Towns, there is an influx of 61,422 visitors and an economic spill of $ 92.1mdp; Hotel occupancy reported percentages between 82% and 98%.
In the case of Los Mochis, where the month of July is considered a low season, this year grew 7 points in hotel occupancy, reaching 66.6% against the 59% recorded last year

Pérez Barros, added that in the increase to the different destinations of the State, the realization of events influenced, such as: La Feria de la Jaiba in Angostura; the Surutatazo in Surutato; the Anniversary of the Foundation of El Rosario; the Family Fishing Tournament in Teacapán; the Copala Route – Los Herreros Dam, the Tianguis Cultural de Concordia; the tourist, gastronomic and artisan Tianguis in La Noria; the 2019 edition of the Cosaltazo; the gastronomic Tianguis of the Villa de Ahome, and many more.
