70 million pesos earmarked for public works in Mazatlan

Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- The municipal and state government announced joint investments to create high-impact infrastructure works in Mazatlan, through the Social Infrastructure Contribution Fund, FAIS.

In a press conference, it was reported that the municipality will contribute 35 million pesos and the state another 35 million pesos for the execution of elementary works, of which 57 works will be in popular colonies of the port.

“These are small great works, in the social sense and a fund that is tripartite, municipal, state and federal,” said Governor Quirino Ordaz Coppel.

The state president said that these works will begin within 35 to 40 days and will improve the urban image of Mazatlan.

He also said that the relationship with Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, is excellent, so the same amount of resource is being provided for the completion of the works.
