Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- After the rain registered in the early hours of the morning of this Saturday, the municipal Civil Protection coordination reports a quiet city, however, the report of the death of an inland fisherman was received, due to the impact of lightning.

The head of the Civil Protection unit in Mazatlan, Eloy Ruiz Gastélum, reported that the area with the highest rainfall was the north, where 47 millimeters of rain fell.

He added that from the rest of the city there was a rainfall of 28 millimeters.

Ruiz Gastélum said that in the surveillance routes in the urban area there were no problems of plugging in storm drains and there is only the report of a fallen tree in Belisario Domínguez and Roosevelt, in the center of the city.

Upon the death of a fisherman, the report indicates that two people who were doing offshore work were heading to the island Venados to take refuge from the rain when they received the impact of lightning that caused the death of one of the fishermen.

Light rains continue in some parts of the port, so the Civil Protection coordination asks citizens to take precautions when carrying out their daily activities.
