Mazatlan, Sin.- Between 10 and 15  daily fines of public transportation is applied daily by inspectors of the Delegation of Roads and Transportation during the current summer vacation period.

The head of the state agency, Guillermo Tolosa Loaiza, reported that driver sanctions remain with the same percentage during the first three weeks of vacation.

“The sanctions are maintained and we are even pending any report made by users of this type of public transport, to act as soon as possible.”

The excess of passage, he affirmed, has been the main signal by which the inspectors raise the admonitions to the workers of the steering wheel, who offer their services mainly to tourists.

Pulmonias and Aurigas, he said, have been the modalities of public transport to which 45 percent of the infractions they register during one day have been applied.

Those who incur that type of irregularity, he said, have to pay a fine amounting to 400 pesos, an economic amount that they must settle so that they can continue in the work.

The Aurigas are the ones who have incurred the most in violating the road regulations.

In addition to the number of passengers that must carry these units, he said, they are waiting for drivers to comply with the validity of the insurance policies and have the corresponding documentation to be able to offer the service they provide.

He said that the staff in charge works normally, through three shifts, one from 8.00 in the morning to 2:00 in the afternoon, another from 2:00 in the afternoon to 9:00 at night and a third from 9:00 at night to 2:00 in the morning.
