17 thousand 780 new jobs registered during June in Sinaloa

The Secretary of Economy, Javier Lizárraga Mercado confirmed that 17 thousand 780 new jobs were registered during the month of June in Sinaloa

At the end of June, Sinaloa generated 17 thousand 780 new formal jobs registered in the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), with respect to the same month last year, which placed the entity in The ninth position at the national level in employment generation, announced the Secretary of Economy, Javier Lizárraga Mercado.

In a press conference, the state official explained that the pattern of workers insured in the IMSS as of June 2019 is 540 thousand 249 formal places, amount greater than 522 thousand 469 jobs counted in June 2018, growth that equals 3.4 percent, while at the national level it was 2.4 percent.

Lizárraga Mercado said that the growth of 17 thousand 780 jobs in June registered with the IMSS comes to contribute with the instruction of Governor Quirino Ordaz Coppel to continue generating more and better jobs in Sinaloa.

Regarding a monthly average of all the first semester of 2019, the Secretary informed that it is equivalent to 561 thousand 828 registered workers before the IMSS, which are 20 thousand 189 jobs more than the average of the first six months (January-June) of 2018

On the other hand, he pointed out that due to the seasonality of the economy of Sinaloa, which is an eminently agricultural state, there are “peaks” of affiliations to the IMSS, specifically the thousands of rural workers who work certain months in agricultural harvests, which raise the records, which decrease at the end of the harvest seasons.

During the press conference, the Director of the National Employment Service in Sinaloa, Arturo Torres Sato, announced that next Friday, July 19 will be held a Job Fair in Culiacan, and for the first time in the esplanade of the International Center de Autobuses de Culiacán, where 33 companies will offer 600 vacancies.
