Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Luis Ebrard Casaubón confirmed that during the operations carried out over the weekend, 785 migrants were rescued in Veracruz, including minors in eight boxes of trailers, Notimex reports.
At the morning press conference at the National Palace, he said that the migrants had boarded in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, passed through Veracruz and went to the north of the country, and that they had been charged $ 3,500.
The foreign minister asserted that there will be no tolerance against migrant smugglers and that the federal government does not rule out the possibility of ending the domination of companies that have links with these criminal networks.
