Tourism developments left and right put tons of stones on the beach and sea of Bahía de Banderas, Nayarit; are Punta Esmeralda and Narval Development, according to reports from these communities
Neighbors of Bucerías and La Cruz de Huanacaxtle of Bahía de Banderas, Nayarit, presume that tourism developments; Punta Esmeralda and Narval, do not have federal permits to carry out the construction of, until now, 7 breakwaters with hundreds of tons of stones thrown to the beach and the sea which causes a tremendous environmental impact, the transformation of these beautiful beaches and the blockade to walkers who like to walk from Bucerías to the Cruz de Huanacaxtle.
Complaints have been reported to PROFEPA as they point out, they do not have the manifestation of environmental impact and therefore federal permission and to the City council of Bay of Banderas, Nayarit, but there has been no answer, the works continue, but also the denunciations. It is known that these developments apparently have municipal building licenses, which is why the Association of Mujeres Unidas por Bahía de Banderas, sent a statement to the mayor, Jaime Cuevas, where they request his intervention to prevent this attack against the nature of these beautiful beaches.
Meanwhile await the response of the mayor, the work continues and every day is seen as a negative change in the visual image of these beaches that ensure, have the purpose of creating private beaches for these developments as stones on the beach obstruct the pedestrian step or complicate it, plus it becomes dangerous to walk on these stones to get around them.
