Concordia bets on tourism to activate the economy

The state government has invested 25 million pesos to connect Copala with the Mazatlán-Durango highway

Mazatlan, Sinaloa .- The economic reactivation through tourism is the path that municipal president Felipe Garzón agree to continue to improve the economy of the municipality.

A few days after presenting the Municipal Development Plan before the town hall for approval, the mayor pointed out that the economic reactivation of the municipality is one of the five key points of his document, which was carried out based on working tables with the citizens, trustees and commissioners.

The works

Garzón pointed out that they are working together with Codesin and the Ministry of Tourism to create a tourism project that links Mazatlan with Concordia and the economic benefit to the residents.

He explained that the works in the municipal capital, such as the installation of underground wiring, is part of the investment in tourism. 

It will also work in conjunction with the Town of Copala, a union that lost its tourist tradition to be cut off due to the opening of the Mazatlan-Durango highway. 

Maintaining security is one of the points to work. 

He explained that with an investment of 25 million pesos by the State Government, a branch line is being built to communicate Copala with the Mazatlán-Durango highway.

Other points

The mayor pointed out that the Municipal Development Plan is at 90 percent. 
This project contemplates improving public services and health services.

In addition to the donation of a municipal land of one hectare, located on the boulevard of access to Concordia, the State Health Service to manage the necessary resources in the fiscal year 2020 and build a health center in the municipal seat.
