The members of the Moto Club Mazatlan, headed by the leaders Roberto Castañeda and Arturo Andrade, signed an agreement with the mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, to celebrate the legendary Moto Week for the days 25 to April 28, as scheduled, in Easter Week.
This morning, in City Hall, the parties sealed the commitment with their signatures, although before the mayor Benítez Torres read an addendum letter where, the more than 15,000 participants are asked to respect transit measures, pedestrians. Do not drive in a drunken state, but above all do not do stunts on the streets of the city with risk to third parties. Also, use helmets with the motorcycle in motion.
This is the end of the conflict, first between two internal groups of Moto Club Mazatlan, and then granting by the authority the respective permits for the celebration of the great event that brings an important economic benefit to Mazatlan.
In that agreement, the mayor informed that Moto Week, starting in 2020, will be held in the first week of May and not immediately after Holy Week.
In the legendary Motorcycle Week more than 15 thousand motorcyclists are expected, some accompanied by their families or friends, in such a way that the number of people is estimated at more than 20 thousand in those days, apart from the tourists that left a spill of more than 500 million pesos.
