A long list of irregular businesses was given to Oficialía Mayor to act as an authority, revealed the leader of the tortillas, Martín Félix Elenes

Mazatlan, Sinaloa. – In a fight’ to end with the competition of unfair, and clandestine businesses demand the Union of Tortilleros in Mazatlán, asserted Martin Félix Elenes.

The leader of the tortillas in the region revealed that a long list of irregular businesses was given to the Oficialía Mayor to act as an authority, and proceed to close it or apply sanctions for not complying with the provisions of the law.

“He was given a list of some clandestine businesses that the same partners have been denouncing, and it seems that they are going to start acting on those businesses”

“… they are like some 36 businesses that are detected, and that the same partners feel affected by them, by that type of business,” he said.

He said that the ‘proliferation’ of this type of business causes serious damage to all partners because they charge a lower price by not paying a commercial fee and taxes, and before that, you can not compete.

“These are businesses that have been found and that have not been registered with the Treasury, which do not have commercial services, they use rooms in a house in a residential building, and paying lower utility rates; Domestic water and all domestic services are not paying for commercial services, “he said.

Felix Elenes is confident that this government will be different and will regulate businesses to be able to compete in a similar way, now we just have to wait to see if there will really be positive results for the Tortilleros Union in Mazatlan.
