The Governor of Sinaloa, Rubén Rocha Moya, welcomed the motorcyclists who arrived in the state to participate in Mazatlán International Motorcycle Week 2026.

In Villa Unión, the governor greeted some of the participants in the motorcycling event, which takes place from April 8th to 11th and is considered the most important in Latin America.

Rocha Moya also expressed his hope that they have a pleasant stay and enjoy the event, as well as the attractions and, above all, the state’s rich cuisine.

The motorcyclists visiting Mazatlán come from different parts of Mexico and abroad (United States, Colombia, Chile, among others) and have a positive impact on the hotel, restaurant, commercial, and tourism sectors. An economic impact of more than 800 million pesos is expected.

For her part, the Secretary of Tourism for Sinaloa, Mireya Sosa Osuna, explained that more than 15,000 motorcyclists will participate in this important event.

“International Motorcycle Week is the largest motorcycling event in Latin America and is very important for Mazatlán and Sinaloa, so we are very happy to welcome all the motorcyclists. The Pearl of the Pacific welcomes them with the best atmosphere, incredible landscapes, and miles of routes along the sea,” she commented.

Yesterday, Thursday, April 9, the opening ceremony was led by Alejandro Higuera Osuna, Undersecretary of the Meetings Industry, representing the Secretary of Tourism for the state; Ángel Fernando Arballo, Chief Administrative Officer of the City Council; Jesús Tirado, Director of the Advisory Council for International Motorcycle Week; and Francis Cazarez, President of the Mazatlán Chamber of Commerce (CANACO). José Alberto Ureña, director of the Mazatlán International Center, and José Ramón Manguart, president of the Tres Islas Hotel Association.

Once the event was inaugurated, attendees enjoyed performances by the bands Santa Grifa, Los Estrambóticos, and Murrieta Sur.

The program of activities also includes rides to nearby towns, acrobatic displays, customization contests, and food areas. The final day of Mazatlán International Motorcycle Week 2026 will feature a tribute concert to Spanish Rock with Clavería (La Ley), Kenny (La de Los Eléctricos), Guevara (Elefante), Kazz (Amantes de Lola), Cala (Rostros Ocultos), Animalf (Cuca), Chirino (La Ley), and Stone (Víctimas del Doctor Cerebro), as well as Merenglas and Grupo Clase A, culminating with a performance by Pancho Barraza.
