The arrival of three cruise ships in Mazatlán this Christmas is expected to bring a significant economic impact to the municipality and all sectors. The ships brought a total of 9,662 passengers and 3,336 crew members.

Cruise Ship Arrivals

– Norwegian Joy: Arrived from Los Cabos with 4,675 passengers and 1,646 crew members.

– Carnival Panorama: Arrived from Puerto Vallarta with 4,833 passengers and 1,430 crew members.

– World: Arrived from Puerto Vallarta with 154 passengers and 290 crew members. This ship will spend two nights in Mazatlán, marking the beginning of more ships staying longer in the port, according to Secretary of Tourism Mireya Sosa Osuna.

Economic Impact

A large percentage of passengers disembark to tour the city, visit the center, Machado Plaza, Olas Altas, the boardwalk, and the tourist area to enjoy food, drinks, and shopping. This influx benefits local businesses and taxi drivers who transport visitors around the port.
