Violence Displaces Residents in Seven Sinaloa Municipalities

María Inés Pérez Corral, head of the Secretariat of Wellbeing and Sustainable Development (Sebides), reported that no families have been displaced by criminal acts in the municipality of Eldorado. However, Sebides has helped the inhabitants of Las Arenitas in this municipality, delivering food supplies, cleaning kits, and gallons of purified water.

Pérez Corral emphasized that families in Las Arenitas continue their daily activities without interruption. “They continue working from 6 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon, the stores remain open, and the mobility routes continue flowing. We do not have a crisis there,” she stated.

She explained that displacements have occurred in the municipalities of El Rosario, Concordia, San Ignacio, Elota, Cosalá, Culiacán, and Badiraguato. These displacements are not permanent but are preventive measures due to the insecurity in these communities.
