To assess the progress of the resurfacing work in the Centro neighborhood, Mayor Edgar González conducted a supervision tour.
The mayor announced that the resurfacing will have a thickness of 6 centimeters, which is very durable.
“The purpose is to have these streets fully resurfaced, with a thickness of 6 centimeters, which is durable enough to prevent problems for several years. It’s about completing a thorough job in the downtown area and various parts of the city.”
The streets that will be addressed include Insurgentes in the section near the Club de Leones; Teodoro Mariscal Street; Guillermo Nelson, Rotarismo, Walamo, among others, with an investment of nearly 19 million pesos.
The mayor specified that the company Asfro won the bid to carry out these resurfacing works. He estimated that the work will be completed this September, while the work on 5 de Septiembre Street will be finished before the Grito de Independencia.
He highlighted that a meeting was held with the company, Social Welfare, Municipal Traffic, and Public Works to maintain control and inform residents through Social Welfare when they will be working near their homes or businesses.
The project managers, along with the Director of Public Works, Rigoberto Arámburo Bojórquez, also attended this supervision tour.
