Armed men seize a truck from a foreign carrier on the Mazatlan highway

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The driver of a foreign cargo transport truck was stripped of the vehicle when he was driving on the Tepic-Villa Unión highway, in the vicinity of this syndicate belonging to the municipality of Mazatlán.

The violent robbery occurred at 03:00 on Saturday and was committed by armed men who were on board a yellow school-type truck that fled in the direction of Villa Unión.

The driver was abandoned without his belongings on the road and on Saturday he managed to contact his employer by phone to report what had happened.

The stolen van is a gray Nissan NP300 brand, 2020 model, with a white box, Federal Public Service license plate holder.

According to the information obtained about this event, the driver was driving on the highway when a yellow truck blocked his path and forced him to slow down. A subject armed with a pistol got out and through threats stripped the driver of the Nissan truck and they withdrew in the direction of the union.

On Saturday afternoon it transpired that the truck was located through the GPS Global Positioning System that was in the vicinity of the Santa Fe subdivision. Ministerial authorities took charge of the investigations.
